Project Overview
As a product designer, I was responsible for leading the design of a digital platform for Innopolis University that allowed students and faculty members to post and take courses. The goal of the platform was to provide a convenient and centralized location for course management, while offering a user-friendly experience for students to easily access and enroll in courses.
Research and User Personas
To start the design process, I conducted user research through interviews, surveys, and analysis of existing course management platforms to understand the needs and pain points of students and faculty members. From this research, I developed user personas that guided the design process. Our primary personas were Michail, a busy computer science student who needs a platform that is easy to navigate, and Alexey, a faculty member who needs a platform that simplifies course creation and management.
Design and Development
Using the user personas as a guide, I led the design of wireframes and prototypes that were tested through usability testing with students and faculty members. Based on their feedback, I designed a clean and modern interface that featured a dashboard for easy access to courses and profile management. For faculty members, I streamlined the course creation process with an intuitive interface for uploading course materials and communicating with students.

As the design was finalized, I worked closely with the development team to ensure the platform was built on a scalable and secure architecture, with features such as course search, enrollment, payment processing, and course content management.
Launch and Results
After beta testing with a small group of users, the platform was successfully launched in time for the start of the semester. The user feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with both students and faculty members praising the platform's ease of use and convenience in managing and accessing courses. Since its launch, the platform has seen a steady increase in course enrollments, which has been a testament to its success.
Conclusion
Through research, design, and development, I was able to lead the design of a digital platform for Innopolis University that has significantly improved the course management process for both students and faculty members. The positive user feedback and increase in course enrollments are a testament to the platform's success and its impact on the university community.
